A Day Around Home: Kismayo’s Port, Lido Beach, and Gobweyn

I took a friend around my hometown today — the old seaport, an empty stretch of Lido beach, and the palm groves where the Jubba River meets the sea. Ten years since I'd last walked the docks of Kismayo's port, and the whole day felt like rediscovering a place I thought I already knew.
